Listening with laughter at the monkeys

Listening with laughter at the monkeys
You can’t get honey without bees
Landlord is crying for his money
Someone’s got to save the trees
What happened to my drinking water
What’s wrong with the air I breathe
Could we treat the earth like our daughter
Will Gaia bounce back when we leave
Science is only science when there’s profit
Just a tool to feed the greed
Send them to Tuvalu who don’t believe it
Let them face the rising sea
We’re drowning
We’re toxic
Suffocating
Endangered
Fracking idiotic
Greedy
Little people
Blind who see
But don’t believe
Monkeys say that they know better
Just want us to believe
But the coast only keeps getting wetter
Who’s got aspirin between their knees
There’s no love lost for the commons
Money doesn’t grow on trees
The time has come to make our amends
Even the fish aren’t free
We’re drowning
We’re toxic
Suffocating
Endangered
Fracking idiotic
Greedy
Little people
Blind who see
But don’t believe
And M should be the scarlet letter
They should wear it on their sleeves
For the starving, it will get no better
When we don’t have any seeds
We’re drowning
We’re toxic
Suffocating
Endangered
Fracking idiotic
Greedy
Little people
Blind who see
But don’t believe

Enough ranting for one night.
Peace and love, the fighting mermaid

  1. The fact that these words form the shape of fish is pretty amazing. Pretty fracking amazing! Your ranting is art on multiple levels.

  2. God girl, put a Valium between your knees and chill. Oh what the heck, just don't hurt yourself.

  3. If you've got valium, I'll take it. Don't know how I will make it thru the election, but learning to laugh at those fools who think they have it all figured out. Just wish I could laugh and fly off on my broomstick.
